How green is my valley?

Have encountered another wrinkle in the poor performance of solar panels.

Quote:It is not widely known existing solar cell systems only produce electricity six hours a day. Where silicon cells are delicate they need to be shielded with glass covers. At any angle below 45 degrees the shields reflect 90% of an "incident beam" of sunlight and 100%, below 30 degrees, keeping it from the cells. This is not a property of glass, but the physics of surfaces. No transparent material lets sunlight through completely at any angle of incidence below 45 degrees.

Seven new jobs. The workers installing the solar panels perhaps ? Or if the new jobs are in the so called renewables indusrty, I suspect they won't last long as subsidies are starting to be reduced and may even be cut.
