To be honest I'm bored with Fakegate. And was not that interested to begin with. The Heartland is not one of my main sources of information and as far as I know all they do is host the "skeptics" conference, and run a website and they have even stopped doing the conference now.
Plus Heartland are essentially luke-warmers, they support the greenhouse theory so as far as I, a true Denier are concerned, whatever goes on at Heartland is pretty irrelevant really! As for Gleik versus Heartland, this is by no means the "end of the global warming scare" any more than Climategate was, it is merely a "he said- she said" situation. |

The value of Fakegate is the behavior of people who defend Glieck and his obvious crimes.Defending him tells us what they really are and why they do it despite the fact that what he did was incredibly stupid and illegal.
Because of one man making a massive blunder he is speeding up the decline of the idiots camp who long ago made it clear they are not in it for the science but for control of people and their life styles. That is why I posted many links here to help people realize that there is a class people out there who are basically trash and deserve to be exposed as such. That is a good point, Tommy on the unethical behaviour of "Warmongerers". I hope that Gleik's blunders do speed up the end of climate alarmism. However, those interested parties seem entrenched in their positions (Monbiot, Guardian, BBC etc).
I should have phrased my post better! I meant that I am bored with the endless coverage of "Fakegate" on sites like WUWT, when they could be covering something that is really important such as articles and papers by authors of the "Sky Dragon Slayer". Instead, we get a dismissive post with no comments allowed. The most interesting thing about Fakegate is the documents Glieke obtained were so innocuous that he had to fabricate something to make the Heartland look bad. I'm not a fan of the "Heartland" though, they seem to support the tobacco industry for example! Or at least supported them in the past. But they have done some good work against the climate alarm. So you could say I'm ambivalent towards the Heartland, but perplexed as to why WUWT and other sites have gone so overboard on this issue. |
