August 2009 saw a modest fall in the global average tropospheric temperature anomaly, from +0.41 deg. C in July to +0.23 deg. C in August. The tropical and Northern Hemispheric troposphere remain quite warm, but the Southern Hemisphere cooled by over 0.4 deg. C in the last month.

I was looking at the near surface termperatures to see whether as I expected, the August “high” was about to come back to normal (although to be honest it looks more like “normal” in past years is rising to meet August’s temperature.

When I suddenly realised that there had been a notable absence of any twitter about El Nino from the global warming hysterics. I thought we were in for a warm winter (but then again the Met Office told us in the UK we would have a BBQ summer – but instead, the only reason you’d light a BBQ is to keep warm!)

I was going to delete the link you added at the end of your post,but decided to allow it because it is so gosh darn idiotic.

I want sane people to see it and understand what happens when ignorant people eat a plate full of chicken little warmist calamities and react to it.

I looked around in the link you posted and found it absolutely hilarious.

I went to the "Calamity center" and see a bunch of UNREFERENCED and misleading charts there.They are so stupid and dishonest since they do not even tell us what makes them show evidence of a high risk future.

They do not tell you that the warming trends have been proceeding in steps.Such as the 1976/77 great climate change event or the 1998 increase.Both big El-Nino years.

Both of those years we experienced a STEP temperature increase.Then it becomes stabilized by average for years.Meaning that except for those two years,there has been no clear warming trend at all since 1976.

They also will not tell you that ALL of the significant warming events since 1976 are connected to the ENSO cycle.Meaning when there is a El-nino ongoing,so does the warming trend show up.When there is a La-nina ongoing,it cools down.

Only fools are going to waste their money on the crap they are offering.
